Virgínio Sá holds a PhD in Education, in the area of School Organization and Administration, from the Universidade do Minho. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences in Education at the Institute of Education at the Universidade do Minho/Portugal. He is an associate researcher at the Center for Research in Education – CIEd (Universidade do Minho), member of the Education Policy, Governance and Administration Research Group. He has developed his teaching activity in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, both in the country and abroad, namely in Cape Verde, Timor and Brazil. He is the author and co-author of several academic works (books, book chapters, articles in scientific journals and minutes) produced within the scope of his research interests, published in the country and abroad. He was visiting professor at the Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal), at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil) and at the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Brazil). He is currently the coordinator of the PhD in Educational Sciences, specializing in School Organization and Administration, at the Institute of Education of the Universidade do Minho.
